Previously, Sarah was Managing Director, EMEA for The New York Times, where she led high performing teams, first in NYC HQ, and then across Europe, Middle East and Africa. She also led a sixty-person global team for a London-based private equity-backed media company. Sarah is now a Partner at Evolution, global boutique coaching, consulting and investment firm, which partners with companies to drive long-term, holistic success through developing leadership, alignment, and culture.
Professional Background
Sarah began her career at Credit Suisse in New York City as an investment banking analyst, supporting fundraising efforts for private equity funds ranging from $150 million to over $8 billion. While working on high-stakes transactions, she gained valuable insights into global markets and the dynamics between limited and general partners. This foundational experience shaped her understanding of business across industries and borders.
She then made her mark in media and journalism, leading U.S. and global teams for The New York Times and other industry giants like Forbes and NBC. She rose to Managing Director, EMEA for The New York Times, and later led a sixty-person global team for a private equity-backed sports-focused media company in London.
Sarah consistently led teams through complex, high-stakes sales processes, driving outsized revenue across several of the world’s leading media corporations. Throughout her career, she coached and mentored hundreds of high achievers, teaching them to work more effectively—both individually and as a team—to deliver tangible, meaningful business results, even under intense pressure. She empowered her teams to excel in high-stakes environments, helping them navigate challenges and achieve significant business outcomes. Her leadership consistently resulted in both near-term success and long-term transformation.
Sarah has served on several boards, including Chair of The Young Vic Theatre in London and co-Chair of the Duke UK Alumni Board. She also loves to play tennis, go on long walks in the Lake District, and is an aspiring gardener.
